I'm impressed!

| This bass really impressed me...it is very light and the sound is quite good. It is an outstanding starter bass but has the feel of a more expensive bass. The amp is well small and work fine, but a larger model is really need to sustain powerful tone. I would recommend getting additional gig bag, cord and tuner....they all work but are not of the highest quality...but what can you expect from a packaged deal right? |
Great Package

| Overall I love this Bass and everything with it. The Bass buzzes A LOT if you aren't careful and if you don't set everything up right (But I guess that's true for every bass), but once you finish your initial set up, it works great. Definitely an excellent deal for anyone starting off playing the bass (like me haha). And easily affordable. Came with everything and then some; I was not expecting a tuner and a set of picks with it, but I won't complain. Definitely a great product. |
Silvertone LB11 Bass Guitar and Amp kit

I received the Silvertone LB11 Bass kit quickly. When I opened the package I found everything in working order. The overall appearance is just as described. The coloring is beautiful. I researched the Silvertone LB11 Bass Guitar before I purchased it and found that it's a Fender P Bass Clone. I also purchased "Hal Leonard Bass Method Complete Edition". I'm well on my way to learning to play the bass guitar. If I ever become a professional musician, I will get a Fender or Gibson.

For the price, you can't go wrong. Initially there was a bit of a buzz to it but after a little neck adjustment, I managed to get it to sound great. I do own higher end Bass's and wasn't expecting much from this one, just something to tote around, but it is nice to play and I find myself using it more than I had expected to. I would absolutely recommend it.
The amp is adequate and just fine for practice. The initial buzz I experienced was minimized by just using a better cord. The one in the package is a bit chincy but again, at this price you can't expect too much.
When my package arrived the tuner was broken. I contacted the seller and they promptly sent me a new one. Very professional & courteous service, I was impressed and will be happy to order through them again.
The video is insightful and has some good pointers. The methodology is good and will have you playing quickly.
The only thing I would recommend is if you plan on travelling with it I would get a gig bag too. The one it comes with is real cheap. It is just a single layer of material with a zipper on the bottom. I don't like how it loads and it will not protect your instrument. It will only make carrying it around a bit easier. I would rather have gotten an extra set of strings rather than the bag but again, for the price, it's still more than could be expected.
If you are just starting out, or need a decent backup, this Bass will not disappoint you. Good luck & enjoy! |
Big bang for the buck

| This bass is exactly what it says it is. A beginner kit to learn on. No, it won't rival the big name guitars, the amp is nothing but a small practice amp. You can't compare it to a studio/performance amp, that's not what it is. I'm very happy with my purchase, it will allow me to learn to play the bass without investing a ton of money, which is exactly what I was looking for. |
